I just returned from five beautiful days in Barbados. Every time I visit a Caribbean island, I’m reminded of the power of simple living and the medicine that lies in sunshine, ocean water, and the kindness of strangers.
There’s something sacred about walking to the local market, passing familiar faces with warm smiles and hearing good morning said like a blessing. Fresh food. Fresh air. Fresh joy. That’s what the island gives so freely. You wake up to the sound of waves, your feet touch the ground with ease, and your spirit aligns without force. That’s what I mean when I say, “my body feels healed”—not because I did anything extreme, but simply because I was in the presence of good energy. Peace is everywhere there. You can feel it in your skin.
Barbados reminded me again why I value travel so deeply. To me, travel is therapy—on top of actual therapy. It’s a reset, a mirror, and a portal. It’s a chance to step away from chaos and step into clarity. Each trip I take confirms more about who I am and what I’m becoming. I don’t travel to escape; I travel to remember.
This time, I came back not just refreshed and renewed—but anchored. I saw how far I’ve come as a woman, how rooted I am in my purpose, and how much growth God has already aligned in my path. There’s more to come, and I know I’m in a sound enough place to receive it.
Barbados revealed a new definition of ease for me. It taught me that ease is not laziness—it’s spiritual alignment. It’s kindness. It’s awareness. It’s lightness. It’s walking through the world knowing why you’re here and who you are.
So I’ll say this: I know travel is a privilege, and I don’t take it lightly. But I do believe it’s something everyone deserves to experience. To know what it’s like to feel truly at peace. To know what it’s like to feel good in your body, in your heart, and in your purpose.
So here’s to island living.
Here’s to peace.
Here’s to joy.
Here’s to light.
Here’s to love. Not just one love—
but more love.
